Fucus vesiculosus is a type of brown seaweed harvested from the cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean. It is a member of the Fucaceae family. Bladderwrack is distinguished by its air-filled “bladder,” or thalli, which keeps it afloat. Seaweed naturally has high iodine and is enjoyed for its nutritional value. Bladderwrack can be used to add on soups, stocks, and broths, or it can also be infused as tea. Bladderwrack is Dyer’s Focus, Red Focus, and Rockwreck.
